All of my paintings are created with
color as it relates to form and feeling.
My purpose for painting is to provoke
feelings from the viewer through
viewing the form and color and
allowing their imagination to shape
what they see as opposed to what they
think they see. In most cases, the less
known about the painting the more the
painting becomes in the mind of the
observer. The viewer's imagination is
more important to me than my
thoughts at the time the piece was
conceived. The imagination allows my
work to be many things to the
individual depending on their feelings
at the time.
I would rather titles didn't limit the
viewers imagination as they decide
what each piece means to them. Most
of my work is painted to music often in
front of an audience. Many times I
have an idea but the music is what
leads the piece to the final outcome.
Another variable is the audience at the
performance and the energy they
create which is evident in the art work I
produce.
